Resistive load bank test to verify full-rated output, voltage stability, frequency response and protection trips.
Load bank testing is essential for generators that operate at low load for extended periods (wet stacking) or for newly commissioned sets. Our portable resistive load banks test up to 500 kVA.
Test procedure:
- Step loading from 25% to 50% to 75% to 100% rated load
- Voltage and frequency recording at each step
- Engine temperature monitoring throughout the run
- AVR trim and governor speed adjustment where required
- Protection relay and alarm verification
- Fuel consumption measurement
- Full test certificate issued
Recommended annually or after any major engine repair.
