Fire Hose Reel Inspection & Maintenance
Annual inspection, flow test and maintenance of fixed fire hose reel systems.
Fixed fire hose reels are the first line of defence for small fires in commercial and industrial buildings. Annual inspection is required per BS EN 671-3.
Service includes:
- Hose reel rotation test (drum must rotate freely through 180 degrees)
- Hose condition check (cracks, kinks, coupling integrity)
- Valve operation test (isolating valve and flow valve)
- Flow rate measurement at nozzle (minimum 0.4 litres/second at 2.3 bar)
- Nozzle jet/spray pattern check
- Cabinet door and mounting bracket inspection
- Identification sign check
Faults found are reported in writing with a repair quotation. We carry replacement hose, nozzles and valves for same-day repair in most cases.
