Fire Extinguisher Inspection & Recharge
Annual inspection, pressure test and recharge of all portable fire extinguisher types — CO2, dry powder, foam and water.
Annual inspection of portable fire extinguishers is a legal requirement under the Fire and Rescue Services Act and a condition of most building insurance policies. Our certified technicians carry out:
Inspection checklist:
- Visual inspection of body, hose, nozzle and pressure gauge
- Pin and tamper seal check
- Label and signage condition check
- Weight check against rated charge
- Hydrostatic pressure test (every 5 years for CO2, every 3 years for others)
- Discharge test where required
- Recharge with appropriate agent (CO2, ABC dry powder, AFFF foam or water)
On completion you receive a service label affixed to each extinguisher, a site register and a compliance certificate suitable for your building safety file.
Extinguisher types serviced: CO2 (2 kg, 5 kg), ABC Dry Powder (1 kg, 2 kg, 4 kg, 6 kg, 9 kg), AFFF Foam (6 litre, 9 litre), Water (9 litre).
Minimum call-out covers up to 5 extinguishers. Discounted rates for 10+ units on the same site.
